The combine would have been last week. The league has already stated that there would be no combine this year at all. Besides, the last thing the NFL wants to do is send hundreds of people into a state that has decided to ignore best practices when it come to COVID control. Their success of the past season was made possible by their concerted effort to be ultra conservative in those matters. No way they suddenly abandon that approach. There will be no combine and that is a simple fact.
Besides, the combines are greatly over-hyped. Beyond the physical exams and the one-on-one interviews there is little to be gained from the Underwear Olympics. |
