Asante Samuel Jr - CB ... yes, his father also played CB at a high level in the league. Possibly a nickel corner in the NFL.

Scored a 6.42 RAS out of the possible 10. This ranks him 625 out of 1744 CB from 1987 - 2021. He measured out at 5'10 / 180 ... kind of "smallish", will need more bulk - see Greedy Williams.

Re: 2021 NFL Draft: New Orleans Saints

I've been thinking that if Najee Harris fell into our laps and we became a run first team, I wouldn't be mad at it. Kamara and Najee all day long. I think not only does it help out Jameis, it can hide our deficiencies at WR/TE while allowing our OL to do what OL like to do most... maul people.

Looking at the roster outlook in the other thread, our depth defensively is concerning. An elite running game can help mask that as well. I'm glad we got all these compensation picks.

You like Harris over Etienne (Clemson) as well ? Etienne & AK together would seem like a nightmare too. His initial burst is so impressive to me.

But Najee is a dawg though ... and big. The way he can break tackles is incredible. Most Bama RB's show up on Sundays.

I'm really curious to see who we take at pick #28.

Yea I like Harris over Etienne more due to the fact he's a contrast to AK as you pointed out. They'd compliment each other a lot better IMO.
