Forgive me for thinking out loud here, I just need to get this out there. Zaven Collins is a perfect fit for a Patriots-style defense. He’s Dont’a Hightower, Kyle Van Noy, Jamie Collins, etc. The Saints have this really weird desire to get these hybrid LB’s without actually having the ability to implement a multiple scheme. Zack Baun is such a talented player, but we couldn’t find a way to get him on the field. I fear it would be the same with Zaven Collins. Somebody in the organization wants us to run a multiple defense and we just aren’t capable of doing it. End rant.
