Still believe Trevon Moehrig would've been the right pick; as I said before, Sean fails to see players aging, decline of skills; Malcolm Jenkins was/is a defensive liability...
I would be on the phone today seeing of i could move Marcus Williams for a early 2nd round pick to move him. Can't see how they can afford Willaims long term anyway.

Trevon Moehrig solves that - he's very versatile, and he's a ball hawk...

If they liked Moehrig, or another safety, they'd have taken him last night when they got caught without a chair when the music stopped...

Marcus is a known, established quantity, with high grades to show for his play that doesn't bring a lot of BS to the locker room; he's all business, he's a good NFL pro...

I'm strong advocate for what you're saying, but in Mr. Marcus' case, he's the player I draft, re-sign, even extend for a ten year run with us...

What we can't afford is all the big contracts we have along the offensive line (e.g. Armstead, Peat) and can't manhandle teams in the playoffs...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

As i have posted elsehwere there is 36ml in dead money on the books for next summer including 13ml for Armstead so they really have backed themseleves into a corner and will likely have to resign him so that number can get spread over a number of years. I just do not see where the money comes from to pay Williams with Ramczyk,Lattimore and 0 QB on the roster in 2022

Of course you don't. That's not your job.

Sean and the Mickster are gambling on the salary cap jumping way up next season which indications are that will happen...

Otherwise, we're gonna really see some wailing and gnashing of teeth when we're paying 30+yo players who are in the tub while better players are elsewhere...
