Re: Hiring 'Legion of Boom' architect a good start, but decisions loom for Saints' secondary
Kris has the pieces in New Orleans should they be re-signed. If not, he's proven successful at drafting high impact defenders out of any round.
As the article points out, the recent Saints defenses have been a strength. If Kris coaches Lattimore and Williams to their full potential, the secondary could be elite. Free Agency: How cool would it be to see JJ Watt replace Trey Hendrickson and us add Neville Hewitt from the Jets? |

He's likely going to have to replace a CB or safety. We can't afford them both. I don't think so anyway. But he'll likely have several new pieces to help find the fit for his system of coaching.

I'm thinking Kris Richard will be a step up for us. When Dallas fired Jason Garrett they threw out the baby with with the bath water.

“Legion of Boom Architect” is a major stretch.

Rod Marinelli was the DC however that was all Kris Richard dialing up plays & forcing Brees into a costly (he threw a late int to seal it) turnover on our last possession. We took an L. But yeah I agree, this is a good hire for the Saints on the back end. I like the physicality & style Kris brings + his pass defenses have been good statistically. Not a lot of blown coverages on his watch. |

So long as this doesn't lead to us over drafting another CB based on hype and measurables I'm in.

We need to keep Marcus Williams to start, we can’t start over at safety it would be a huge mistake letting him walk
