Hard to assume that one Smash. You still had to get through a red hot Philly team the following week. No guarantees we would have won.

Nobody in the league was beating Philly that year. Nobody. They just had the “it” factor. Just like we did in 06.

Re: Marcus Williams Tagged
Mike Triplett is tripping - Using ProBowls to equate NFL success is a non-sequitur...
Case in point - In 2019, Ryan Ramczyk had one of the most dominant performances by an offensive line in NFL history... Ramz allowed only one (1) sack all season, all the while facing no less than probably nine (9) future HOF DEs with only two (2) Holding and two (2) Offside Calls... Source: https://www.canalstreetchronicles.co...offensive-line Ryan Ramczyk wasn't named to the ProBowl that year, though he was All-Pro, so ProBowls are not a valid indicator of NFL success... If this were the NY, Philly, ATL, Chicago, Dallas, or L.A. Saints, Marcus Williams would have been All-Pro his rookie year, let alone have been named to the Pro-Bowl... As I stated earlier in the thread, it's a gamble, but the right move for him is to wait till next season when the cap number should escalate as much as 20%... Williams with another great season and that cap number higher should give him all the leverage... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Well we’re currently about $27 million over the 2022 salary cap ceiling of $208 million with only 40 players under contract. Yes we’ve seen the gymnastics Loomis and Harley can do to get under the cap this offseason, but next year may be even more daunting because we don’t even have a QB under contract. I think Marcus Williams is as good as gone.
