I think Marcus Williams is as good as gone.
Thought we were ever so slightly under the cap... nonetheless, methinks you’re probably right as far as retaining Williams’ services, other than re-tagging him.

Projected salary cap ceiling. Other than last year the final cap number, due in February, has almost always come out a tad higher than the projection from over a half year prior. Hopefully this proves true again.

The NFL and NFLPA agreed to set the ceiling at $208.2 million. I’m pretty sure that’s it.

He may or may not have been told not to create a foul but look at his timing on that play ,it stunk. That was on him.

Honestly, should Marcus Williams even want to sign long-term with the Saints? Now that Brees is gone and our roster’s being squeezed by salary cap restraints this year and next are we really even contenders?

Who cares? It was one play. Why dwell on it? What good does that do? What is past is past.

We are about to see, aren't we? I expect we will be contenders.

If no deal is agreed in principle and the season isn't going well and looking at the interior line for 6 games it won't be, I'd trade him at the deadline for a pick next year. No point in waiting two years for a 3rd round at best if any pick.

I would imagine a whole lot of people cared at the time and some still do, especially when they watched it go for a game winning TD and cost a possible SB. The Minni miricle it's called. And contrary to whatever you believe, IT WAS HIS FAULT.

Once again, who cares? Move on. I don't get the whole holding something against an individual forever. What does that gain you? What is the point?
