The Jets still haven't found the replacement for Namath. They said several other franchises have never even had a QB of that caliber to even replace. They said while Payton can coach anyone, the offense will have to be different because Brees was so special that he could handle that offense. They said there's no way to expect anyone else to step in and execute that offense. And the leadership will be impossible to replace. His ability to lead was unparalleled.
