It certainly can happen. Many players who can contribute are “due” to come back from injuries/suspensions in the next few weeks. Don’t get any more banged up and the team should be able to compete with anyone around week 9.

I’m happy for Thomas being back and hope he brings the passing game to the “next level”. But a bit of reality check if I may. From my brief research (flawed it may be) it seems that if you add up all the passes Winston has ever completed to Thomas you get a grand total of...one. In 5 targets to him. You add this to Thomas not being available at all for this pre-season and consider Winston probably got no reps with Thomas last year as he was the third string QB, I’m considering the very real possibility that Thomas and Winston will struggle to find a rhythm; especially early on.
