Re: Apologies to Saints Report
Dumb post. So you are writing an I told you so thread because we wound up in a bind? You would have rather rebuilt than watch the Saints contend for a Super Bowl the last 3 years? No, we didn’t get another Lombardi but we did get to watch a hell of a lot of great football. We all knew it would eventually come to an end. If we would have traded all the players you listed we would’ve been watching another string of 7-9 seasons.
Some of you guys think it’s easy to just rebuild and be right back in the thick of things, it’s not. Obviously a lot of people are too young to remember the pre Brees/Payton era. As for Saintsreport, it’s full of children who have very little football knowledge. Last year there was a 200 post thread full of people who were absolutely convinced we were going to trade to get Joe Burrow. I got banned because I said “Reggie Bush isn’t an every down back.” That was it, no smart ass comment, nothing. |

Ownership and the fans are the only given constants. But one thing the ownership knows better than the fans is to trust whom they hire to handle their team. Does it always work out? Of course not. But more times than not it gives them their best shot of winning it all. |
