Sam Darnold... should we?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; It’s not a bad idea, but it doesn’t make a lot of sense if you look at a few numbers IMO: Darnold Career TD%= 3.7 Int %= 3.2 Comp %= 59.8 Winston Career TD%= 4.7 Int %= 3.4 Comp %= ...

It’s not a bad idea, but it doesn’t make a lot of sense if you look at a few numbers IMO:

Darnold Career TD%= 3.7 Int %= 3.2 Comp %= 59.8

Winston Career TD%= 4.7 Int %= 3.4 Comp %= 61.4

So I don’t see an upside in trading for him.

J E T S are very likely drafting a QB. This means Sam Darnold as a J E T is no longer in the cards. Just how many QBs have the J E T S mismanaged?

NE might be in the mix for him. The again not, if a trade, since J E T S are in the same division.

Still, it could prove interdasting for our QB competition, if the price were cheap as is suggested might be. Is Sam Darnold smarter than Jameis?

Yeah, having him in wouldn’t be a problem. I would just hope that maybe he’s cut or something. I wouldn’t give more than a 4th round for him in the Saints position. Jets would probably want more.
SmashMouth and Rugby Saint II like this.
