Didn't the USFL have an 18 game schedule?

The more money the league makes the more money the players get its that simple. The cap increases and so will the salaries so they should chill.

However, I am not for 17 games. I rather go 18 and have an extra bye week.

The bench mark of .500 is a standard that has been set. Below .500 gets people fired. 17 games takes that away. Also records be damned. You might as well throw all the records out. They will mean nothing going forward.

I just don't buy into this change the league for the sake of change.

What is great about the NFL is that the demand for it is high so it makes the games more important each and every week. So not the supply will eventually over take the demand and then what...

We all know that this is change for the sake of money. The league and its owners see this as a cash grab what they will have to share with the rank and file.

The players are slaves to the CBA. Good job standing up for players rights Smith.

The CBA only addresses players money concerns. Not the working conditions and Godhell still has the ultimate power.

But the working conditions have been changed to assist player health as part of the CBA just like other jobs. Like PPE in labs or construction sites, the NFL regulates that along with concussion protocols and changes to rules that penalize hits on defenseless players and protect the QBs.
