Ian Book is in the perfect spot for QB development working with Payton. I like what I've seen from his film and interviews. He's smart and could digest this playbook with a little time in the system. Don't be surprised if he goes on IR with a hangnail where he gets to work with the staff to develop for another year.

I hope Ian makes the roster. I think he will learn a lot more (and possibly see some field action) than if placed on IR or moved to the practice squad.

Is Siemian still technically eligible for the practice squad, presuming he clears waivers?
