Ain't Dere No More - Superdome takes down Mercedes-Benz name

In May 2020, Mercedes-Benz announced it would not renew the naming rights for the Louisiana Superdome. Talks have been ongoing with Caesar's Entertainment but a deal has not been finalized.

Sweet. Every time I see a Mercedes I think about them firing the head guy promoting the Super dome to the company immediately after the deal was done. Maybe we weren't wholesome enough for them. That doesn't seem to be the case though since Mercedes is only represented by Atlanta now.

It was a ten year deal. Mercedes got their money's worth out of it. Corporate sponsorships grow stale over time.

Maybe relocate, expand Chevy Trucks to North Louisiana, again?

Unknowns about the capacity future and such. They are doing their due diligence. It may be the stadium management themselves looking for the concrete deal.
