According to Ben Volin of the Boston Globe, the quarterback competition is “not truly open” for Payton and the Saints' veteran coach plans to start Hill and only make a chance with Winston if his “experiment” fails.

I read this nonsense yesterday. It is no "report". It is one guy from Boston needing an article for his quota and giving a weak argument why he thinks Hill should be the starter instead of Winton. No where does he state that Payton actually plans to start Hill as the title and summary, most likely written by someone else, claims.

I know it's the digital age, but does a Boston sportswriter know more about what's going on in Saints camp than the local writers? Seems unlikely.
