Saints camp: Position battles to watch

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Big Part of who signs is the agent, agency that represents the player... GM/HCs get cross or get comfortable working with certain agents, agencies......

I'm not talking about players. I specifically said that "I doubt there's a GM or agent that leaves any stone unturned". Mathieu's agent is Tom Condon and I seriously doubt that Condon did not contact every possible landing spot for his client that didn't contact him. The player isn't going to be aware every every single call his agent makes or fields. I don't doubt that he wasn't directly contacted by the Saints, especially if any preliminary call went nowhere.

Mathieu and Brees are both represented by Tom Condon. For that matter so is Malcolm Jenkins. I'm pretty sure they are quite comfortable working together. Sending Mathieu to the Chiefs and Jenkins to the Saints probably maximized the money going into Condon's wallet.

You think the Saints front office even called? I think Tate's price tag will be too steep for the black and gold.
Agree. I wanted us to sign him each of the last two offseasons.

(RG) Ruiz, (TE) Trautman & WR battles as well.

My camp darkhorse is still Kawaan Baker - with MT out, he'll get more opportunities to shine with the 1st/2nd teams.

Defensively, who will run alongside Demario Davis at LB?

Let's see if Lorenzo Neal Jr can make this team.

What doesn't kill ya makes you stronger; Cooks or Tate, either would be the WRz we need opposite Callaway (until @CantGuardMike gets back)...
