That would be the best use of our talent.

That's one way of looking at it, but I don't feel it's wasting him if he has no one to throw to IMO, it's wasting the QB position. You can only throw to Kamara just so many times. Obviously, we have differing views. Hill does all of those things while in QB position, with the exception of throwing it to himself.

If they can't get home boy back by Halloween, I think we need to give our doctors and conditioning staff the #FireVenturi treatment. Running out of passes (not the football kind) in my book.

I agree, it would be good to throw him out there and see if there are any bites.

Well thats another blow for the Saints this upcoming season! :-(

I'm always a glass half full kinda person so I'm hoping that the Coaching staff had an idea this may happen and have some plans to put in place until he can get back out there!

Going to be a very interesting season for the Saints this year, thats for sure!

GEAUX SAINTS! WHO DAT!

“Per Underhill, Michael Thomas saw a specialist after the 2020 season ended. Thomas was supposed to spend a month or so attempting to heal the ankle and then return to the specialist to see whether surgery would be needed. Underhill reports that the return visit never happened.”

Well… that’s problematic.

Timing is everything. Trading him now would only net the least value possible. If anything, the Saints have to get him on the field at some point this year to showcase his abilities again to get a solid trade offer.

He'll be back possibly then; he won't be full strength, fully conditioned until at least the six-eight week mark...

Looks like near City Park; msg'd to get the details and will update...

Smart PR move considering social media blew up with a lot of negativity, shade thrown his way...

He's got some good PR folks advising him (having Keyshawn in the family provides a lot of experience dealing with bad press)...

Last year WBRZ ran a headline that Michael Thomas helped pay off $2Mil in Medical Debt for struggling families; but when you read the details, headline is misleading...

Still no small chunk of change he donated $20K to a group that buys medical debt and forgives it; still noble to lend his name to the cause as well as the $20K...

But when word hit the street, #FakeCorporateNews would lead you to think he gave $2Mil; that's the world we live...

So much has to fall in place, a guy can suck it in one place and be a boon elsewhere...

Considering the total investment, teams should have unlimited visits, interviews with players...

Re: Michael Thomas Out for Start of Season

I heard a report yesterday that Thomas could return to play as early as week three. If that is truly the case it can be a factor on who we pick up, when we pick them up, or if we pick anyone up at all. Any veteran will be guaranteed a full year's salary if signed prior to the first game. At least that is the standard rule. I'm not sure if that is among the tweaked rules for the COVID seasons.

Damn, what an excellent fantasy player! A TD catch and pass plus receding and passing yards on the same play!

Lls want to trade him because his body hasn't healed ? Don't get me wrong initially I felt like this could've been a red flag maybe Mike in a sense giving a F U to the saints. But I talked to someone NOT a Saints fan and he can't control that. At least only to a certain extent. If this is a matter of negligence on Mike behalf that would be tough pill to swallow, but if uts just of matter of unforseen circumstances on the Org and him there is NOTHING he can do about that. If we can't get twice the value trading him is pointless. Trade Mike to draft another WR? we're in the.same boat especially if the WR pans out he's going to be 100 million dollar man too

Delvin Breaux?

As I've been stating for several weeks, CB #2 is a bigger hole right now than any other position ... including WR.

Sean Payton basically said the same thing today in his response to reporters a short while ago.

Adding Poole was a great addition, however we're not done at cornerback, specifically the boundary opposite Latt.

Payton sure doesn’t seem like he’s very happy with Thomas right now. I’m starting to think maybe there’s something to all the rumors about the rift.

I wonder how much frustration is with MT and/or the medical staff?

Re: Michael Thomas Out for Start of Season

I do think some of this falls on Mike, but I'm also feeling fairly nervous about our medical staff and the possible lack of attention on the situation. Players have surgeries and rehab programs in the offseason all the time - for cripes sakes especially in football! If this training staff is blowing it then they need to be replaced, because a good training staff can be the difference in winning a championship or not. If Giannis' knee did not get the proper diagnosis and treatment, almost certainly no rings for the Bucks.

Re: Michael Thomas Out for Start of Season

Have been prepared to give Mike Thomas the benefit of the doubt, but missing a follow up appointment?

You're a professional athlete under contract for millions of dollars, your entire focus is being at peak, optimum physical shape and you fail to follow up?

This is not good optics for Mike Thomas. Further, interesting that his big food drive coincided with the breaking news of his delayed medical treatment...

Seriously? If Loomis is discussing it openly with the press, you know damn well there not happy with Thomas failing to miss a follow up appointment with the doctors...

If they were covering for Thomas, they'd said so and not left it with a we're not happy with the timing and that's all we're gonna say; Saints FO would have covered for him...

That's just DA whining like a b*tch because he doesn't have first round picks at every position going into the season; man the f*ck up and start coaching or #GTFOH...

A lot of people think Lebron James is a diva ... yet Lebron was pretty much back to normal 2 months after a high ankle injury that was pretty similar to Mike's. Yes I know there's a big difference between cleats and basketball shoes, but still.

Latt, David O, Mike T and now Deonte …

Kinda makes sense now why coach was in such a foul mood for his interviews on yesterday.
