Wherever Thomas' name is on the official depth chart, there ought to be a question mark after it.

Don’t believe everything this shady-ass franchise feeds the media. Mike may have been in the wrong but Sean Payton straight up got into a physical altercation with Delvin Breaux because he didn’t believe his leg was broken.

Just curious, but this is all coming from Duncan’s report so far, correct? I’ve not heard any recent statements from people connected to the team, except
for this Thomas tweet. Other than Payton saying the surgery should have been done before now. Just wondering...I realize you said what they feed the media.

First he threw Brees under the bus, now he throws the whole organization under the bus.

Its not really his fault. It is systemic racism.

Good thing Drew caved so he could keep that booth job.

Re: Jeff Duncan | How unanswered calls contributed to delay in Michael Thomas' surgery

That last Thomas tweet means one of 3 things:

1) He feels the team/training staff is largely at fault for his ankle situation and all of these delays. Perhaps he was fed up with the way they wanted to treat his injury and his not returning calls and doing things his way during the offseason was his way of coping

2) He has some kind of dirt (not related to him or his injury) that is supposed to be kept in the locker room but he is/was feeling tempted to let it out because as of late he feels like the team is disparaging him over the injury situation.

3) Michael is a legend in his own mind who is just throwing stuff on social media to illicit reactions and just doing the random WR chaos Antonio Brown type thing.

If it is #1, he should just drop the passive aggressive messages and either go straight to ownership with his issues or give an interview to SI or the Athletic and reveal his side of the story. It's better to have out this civil war and see where that leads us, rather than this protracted cold war.

If it is #2 or #3, he really is being a diva and we'd best served to trade him, pennies on the dollar if necessary.

Mickey Loomis remarked publicly this past week saying that the surgery should've taken place a few months ago...

He didn't throw Brees under the bus just said what was true. It's not a secret plenty fans have said the same statement regarding Brees

You can see it that way but MT and MJ rolled over DB, Drew capitulated which just caused more of a issue. Team suffered regardless of statements that followed by all parties, that type of polarized positioning never fully resolves.

Didn’t watch follow or care about the Olympic games because of all the Wokeness on display and ratings were a disaster as a result.

I don’t see how this works out well, sure he has his own side but can’t see that he contractually, obligation / committed to keep team in the loop during the off-season … this will get very ugly before goes away.

Plenty of fans came down on Brees for saying he respected the flag and would not kneel for it because of his grandfather’s service? I must have missed that.

I saw it up and down my timeline. You know social media creates an echo chamber for thoughts and positions they believe you’ll identify with based on the fact they’re tracking everything you do lol. But yeah, I saw a lot of “**** Drew Brees”. The usual cultural divide.

Gotcha. I still consider what Thomas said about Brees’ comment throwing him under the bus though.

What? Bro no one said that. Maybe a few people that buy into that BS propaganda agreed with MT and Jenkins, but I don't remember anyone complaining about Drew refusing to kneel because of his family and his respect for the flag.

I actually lost a little respect for Drew because he caved and pretended to understand and agree with it all. He doesn't agree with it. He just did what everyone else does now. They're all too scared to disagree out of fear of being labeled a racist (and they're not) so they just smile and agree with it all. Spineless fools.

He caved to try to save his last season. And it was ruined way before it started. He was a shell. He looked empty. You could see it in his eyes. The fire was gone. Its because he gave his spine to the woke so he could get along with teammates for one more season.

About his arm or about the kneeling? Or both?

Got ya. I wouldn’t have backed Brees up either TBH. I’ll stand with my culture before I stand with a teammate. Their feelings were hurt more than anything else so they lashed out. They love Drew and they took it like it was a knife in the back even though that’s not what it was intended to be. That’s why they tell you to keep politics out of the workplace though. Best friends become enemies real quick.

It’s obviously a tough topic. Both sides have deep personal feelings about it.

Meanwhile the Saints still need WR and DB help! I’m actually feeling better about the DL and LB groups though from what I’ve read so far. Good play up front goes a long way to helping DBs look good.

I like Prince Amakumara. They could definitely use some help at corner, but I’m look at WR and TE. I’m not opposed to bringing back Brandin Cooks or Kenny Stills. And I think we should trade for a TE as well.

What was "cultural" about Brees's statement? I understood it to be his opinion on military service and the flag.

I think the disconnect is/was in the cultural interpretation of the protest.

And Rez says he'd stand with his "culture." Meaning what? That is divisive talk IMO. What if a white guy wanted "stand with their culture?" They'd be labeled racist.

There is nothing wrong with being patriotic and having love for flag, anthem, country and service members. And it has nothing to do with culture.
