In the effort of complete neutrality, J has a point though. There is a double standard being developed.

Jemele Hill called a boxing match racist because a white man knocked out a black man. Likely being a troll, but she still said on it Live TV, that again is someone trying to cause a rift between humanity - nothing happened.

Brees said that he respects the flag because it reminds him of everything his grandfather fought for and he doesn't like when people disrespect it. Granted he probably misinterpreted the question and didn't answer amazingly, however only 1 of the examples I mentioned above was said with intent to cause divisive arguments. And it damn sure wasn't Brees.

Yet in that instant, a ton of people forgot about everything good Brees had ever done, and flamed him. I'm not talking about whole cultures either, because from what I heard, Demario Davis had enough about him to reach out to Brees quietly. Whereas MJ and MT went straight to the media.

Yes. The fact is that we are all basically humans with our own problems and how they affect us and how we react to them differs greatly.

Like Guido said, there was a vast difference in cultural interpretation of the protests just like there’s a vast difference in the cultural interpretation of the country. At this point, who doesn’t have family that fought for this country? Only difference is my family came home to Jim Crow and other forms of discrimination. If the truth is divisive then we’re just gonna have to be divided. I won’t lie to keep the peace. 🤷🏽*♂️

Ha! Guido! I'd "like" your response about "the toilet of Idaho" dig, but I blocked you a long time ago. Not that it matters much, you argue with most on this board that they constantly quote your responses in replies to you. So I see most of them anyway. Lol.

You are quite unaware, my friend. Keeping your head buried in the sand perpetrates that situation.

There is nothing wrong with being patriotic and having love for flag, anthem, country and service members. And it has nothing to do with culture.

I honestly don’t mind if you stand with your culture. It doesn’t bother me at all. I’m here to compete and help get my community out of their situations. As long as you aren’t impeding me from doing that I ain’t got no beef.

I get it. There’s some double standards that benefit or hurt each and every demographic. Black women and LGBTQ people are calling Black men the “White men of Black people” and slandering us every chance they get. Everybody is under fire right now. It’s the world we live in now. Nobody is safe.

And MJ was brought back because of leadership; not much of a leader to take it to social media than going see a teammate face to face...

I wish everyone was honest about "truths" in this country. But we're not. Instead it's agendas for personal promotion and gain.

Brees said he would "never agree with people disrespecting the flag of the United States or our country". Not a cultural statement until culture was injected into it.

Jim Crow is a stain on our country and thankfully made illegal in 1965 (far too late). I wish people were more accepting of each other and regarded character higher than skin color. But that's not what keeps us divided for others' benefit, is it?

Thomas will play this season as a Saint after that he'll probably be playing elsewhere. I was a huge fan of his until the diva started showing.

And that's why I was giving @CantGuardMike the benefit of the doubt, but then the flags went up...

First, was Mike Thomas Food Giveaway and the Medical Bills Forgiveness program when the story first broke (same day as negative story?)...

Second, this wasn't a dispute of whether or not he was injured, this was not returning calls (no excuse for unprofessionalism)...

Third, if you don't trust the team docs, fine. What was Camp Thomas' plan of treatment to be ready to play when camp started? None...

So this is on Mike. Now, that's not to say Sean and Mickey may not have said or done something to complicate it as they've not the best track record with their Ochsner Docs...

But not returning calls, making follow up appts, not giving yourself option to be ready for camp - Mike takes this hit on this one...

But it wasn't only Delvin Breax that got shat on by Sean and Co; don't forget Westbank (Keenan Lewis) got the same deal - rub some dirt on it, Docs say you're fine Tx...

Well, this coming season has potentially a lot of disappointment for Saints fans and there's sure to be a great many stories, tweets, posts, and responses that will upset your world...

You should ready yourself for what you perceive as a great deal of negativity that you won't be able to control or mute, unless you work on yourself to deal with what you can't control...

Or perhaps your expected downfalls do not come to be. I can roll with the punches of life and not have to be negative. Always looking for and expecting the best.

You live yours your way and I'll happily live mine mine.

Ugh. I hope this BS with MT doesn't continue through the season. I've always loathed high profile receivers like OBJ, TO and the likes. MT is heading down that road. If that's the direction he chooses, I hope we get rid of him before he turns into a cancer.
