Well, it set the scale, and we need to remember our history of what having a good safety does and how a bail-out signing like Jairus Byrd can hamstring a team...

Marshon Lattimore and Marcus Williams should be our priorities in the secondary; get Jenkins contract off the books and put Gardner in a position to make even more plays...

Marcus needs to ball (Micah Fitzpatrick level) out in 2021 ... then he and his agent can make a case to ask for top dollar. Even though they play different positions, Jamal is an All Pro & has made immediate impression on the back end.

Tag #2 wouldn't surprise me either.

If Marcus Williams had been playing for the NYJ, PHI or another team in a Top 10 market, he'd done been named an All-Pro; am 100% convinced of it...

Am with you that PFF is flawed, not absolute; watching the film, Marcus is almost always in position, keeping that lid over the top, adding pressure on the passer...

If you told me we could sign Marcus Williams for the money Jamal Adams just signed for, I would say we got a steal. I'm surprised Adams didn't go for more.

He tried. The Seahawks weren't budging.

If you told we could have signed/drafted more LSU talent and come out ahead, I would say we snookered the rest of the league. Countless CB, LB, etc we could've had for less draft capital. Jamal is just the latest example from DBU.

Looks like we'll have two Tigers on the final 53 - WLB Kwon Alexander and IOL Will Clapp...

Kwon said he was recruited hard by Davis. Thank you for #56.
Not surprised at all with Clapp.

+1.

I'd make a case for the LSU WR group too. A lot of these guys are either ELITE or very good on Sundays. Odell Jr, Chark, Justin Jefferson, LaFell etc. Marshall & Chase (rookies) have the potential too. I really thought we were going to snag Jarvis Landry (2014 draft) but we chose some dude with the fancy french name . Stanley Jean Baptiste ... probably Pace's worst draft selection ever.

I'm really impressed at how a lot of the skill players (WR, CB & LB) down in Baton Rouge transition so well to the NFL.

Well, if there is any consolation, Pace is crafting his talents in Chitown. There is a God after all.
