Jeff Duncan: It's time to make the call. Jameis Winston is the Saints' starting quarterback.

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Taysom had the opportunity to win, in my opinion it didn't seem like he took the opportunity as seriously as Jameis did. Everyone saw the work Winston was putting in, in the offseason, whilst Taysom was off on holidays. Jameis ...

Jameis deserves the starting spot, I just hope that performance wasn't his ceiling and he can maintain consistency.

Just watched replay last night. Winston’s passes looked sharp and so did Taysom’s. One thing Winston stared down his receivers. Worked against Jacksonville but good defenses will be licking their chops.

I agree Winston looks more polished and definitely made the case for the starter, but idk about Hill being on holidays. Word was he slimmed down and was training here in Idaho.

To be fair, the only reason I know that Winston was training was because he put stuff on social media. Maybe Hill doesn't do social media. Idk. I doubt that he didn't take it seriously and thought the job was his to lose. But I could be wrong.

He certainly wasn’t seen out partying. That would have made news.

Winston looked good against the Jags.Winstons throws were good and he went through his called plays. The only thing I wasn't so high on with him was him concentraiting on Calloway a little to much like Brees used to do with Puddin', it worked out fine but I would have liked to see him spread it around more, even if I'm a sucker for the deep ball. Hill his body language said it all. I just couldn't figure out why he didn't scramble, that is one of his strong suits, to be honest he looked confused to a point with no fire in him what so ever, that's not the Hill I've seen. By judging this game alone, Winston without a question was the better qb.

I agree I didn't like Hill's demeaner. Makes me think he's learned he's not going to be the starter and Sean is just playing this out to so teams have to keep practicing for both. Wouldn't surprise me if he waited to the last second week 1 to reveal.
