This is just sad and shaping up to be another catastrophe. We probably won't see football played in NO for a while and the team will probably have a crazy schedule where it plays home games at alternate locations until things are fixed up. Football though is secondary, I just hope everyone is ok and all of the preparations hold up against the storm. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

It's not that bad so far in the city and Northshore. We'll see when it passes. Grand Isle looks bad, but they are prepared for this kind of stuff. Right now it has slowed to 11mph, and intensity is subsiding. Pressure in going up... that translates to weakening.

Damage to this building was prolly more due to shoddy construction and for maintenance than the storm itself.

We'll see. I'm hearing New Orleans proper should avoid major impact. Expecting some extended power outages at the worst.

My cousins in Metairie say it’s windy but not near Katrina bad. So far.

Yeah. The major problem with Katrina was the failed levees and the flooding. That shouldn't be an issue at all with this one.

This shows my area should be getting pounded, but I'm experiencing light rains so far. Plenty of twigs on the ground, though.
