this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I'm not sure what to think of the Panthers game yet. Didn't watch much of them last year. It depends on how well their OL and DL are playing....

Re: Saints @ Panthers Pregame Discussion
Mccaffrey is one of the best backs in the league. They have great talent at WR. Unlike the packers, their team worked together in the preseason practices and games. Saints are effectively in the middle of a three game road trip and still dealing with the hurricane. This is a game against an “inferior” team sandwiched between the Pats and Packers. Many reasons to worry about this game.

Re: Saints @ Panthers Pregame Discussion
It without a doubt matters. Among my poker group it’s much more agreeable for all to be accurate about game predictions and avoid overselling your team. Don’t gotta swallow crow you don’t deserve.
And without a doubt some players pay attention to what fans and media say. Teams get overconfident all the time. |

Re: Saints @ Panthers Pregame Discussion
I respectfully disagree. These are human beings. In this day of social media it’s easy for players to get caught up in their own press...positive or negative. The NY Mets recently had to deal with a star player negatively reacting to home fans booing him. CGM doesn’t have a twitter account so he can ignore it. I don’t believe players (even coaches) exist in a bubble that separates them from dealing with outside forces. I believe the undefeated Pats team got caught up in their own pub before the SB before the Giants and I believe Indy did too when Namath beat them in the SB. If fan input was not part of the game then the games would not be played in front of thousands of screaming fans. Just my opinion.

Re: Saints @ Panthers Pregame Discussion
Every panties fan on YT and other places thinking just cause they beat the jets, they are gonna beat us. I told a guy yea y’all sacked Wilson six times but the jets have one of the worst line in the league and we are one of the best. Amongst other things. Not saying we'll curb stomp them but we’ll beat them. I’m not sold on Darnold one bit.
