if I’m wrong, but the capitalized part is key: BEST ABILITY IS AVAILABILITY In other words if you aren’t available to play you aren’t worth sh*t to the team. That’s his point. |

Re: Kwon & Davenport placed on IR
i’ll bring another player in here as a comparison. Let’s look at Peat. He was taken at 13 and no trades were made to get that position. Everyone loves to attack him and his play. They make fun of him and joke about what a bad pic he was. Yet has been there and played through injuries and remained a starter. In his first 3 years he started 37 games.
Davenport was taken at 14 and three picks were used to get in that position. The injury excuse is made constantly for him. In his first 3 years he has started 14 games. I’m not even saying Peat has been a “better” lineman than Davenport has been DE. But I do see a double standard in the way Peat is “evaluated” considering the comparison of draft capital invested. |
Re: Kwon & Davenport placed on IR
As for the draft picks spent discussion, I know all don't feel the same way. However, my view is that Davenport plays in an performance driven sport, if you pay a high price for a player, then that naturally comes with expectations.
If I bought a car for £25000 and it broke down more than a £500 car did, I'd be annoyed. |

On the bright side Peyton Turner was impressive against Carolina..
