Well, he'll need a few seasons to rebuild a sh*tty roster; he's got Anzalone getting smoked by Rodgers as his MLB, and both starting CBs are out vs Rodgers...

But they gave it a good effort till they ran out of troops...

Detroit is a tough City to coach in, Dan has to mop up the mess left to him by Patricia.
But I to was hoping that they would knock the Arrogant One further off his perch..

Re: Observations from the Saints' loss to Carolina

We have another road trip this weekend but at least it's not a home game played in New England. The Saints should be sleeping in their own beds next week and hopefully recharge their woefully dead batteries and play like they are rejuvenated. Being in a full capacity Dome should give us an additional boost and give us the Dome field advantage everyone in the NFL knows about.

There’s also a very real probability that we just aren’t a very good team this year. Probability really. We just don’t have the personnel on offense.

And if that is the case, that's understandable. QB's like Brees don't come around often and I think he hid a lot of the deficiencies of this team.

His pre-snap reads when his arm lost strength, meant the OL barely had to block for longer than a second. In his prime, he'd make UDFA's into pro bowlers.

I don't think any QB on this roster currently can do that. Jameis seems like he needs the situation to be perfect to make a play, if it's not, the ball is going the other way.
Taysom, adds a different dimension to this offense, but can't progress reads and Kamara is a non entity with Taysom at QB.

As for Ian Book, if we are way out of the playoff race come mid season, I think the young man deserves a shot.

I think Payton needs to get rid of some under performers, to allow the offense to restock a little.

JW has always been hot and cold. This last game was one of the worst I saw him play.

We need to fix the protections on the OL and see some more from Winston. We need to see 5 games at a bare minimum before arriving at a verdict on Winston, as long as he is healthy. Speaking of, Jameis needs to slide because he is getting lit up on some of these scrambles.

Im not gonna say yes or no until I see what Winston can with a Saints offense with MT. Taysom in his four games had a full cupboard of weapons from MT, Sanders, and Cook. I think CSP know this and will wait til then as well to decide. Which I think Winston will be fine. The Saints has the worst receiving corps in the nfl, a bunch of no. 3’s and no. 4’s. Just as bad as Brady’s last year in NE.

Agreed... this is his first as a Saint. However as SP stated, the OL had a lot more to do with it than WR separation, prolly add in a sprinkle of referee calls. If we presumably have a top 5 OL, it surely didn't show it in this game.
