A guy whose game is similar to Steve Young would give opposing teams fits.

Also, based on our oline performance, anyone expecting a 6 year $160 million extension for Armstead announced tomorrow? Would be just typical. And then he goes on IR Tuesday.

Don't believe Armstead is getting an extension to stay with the Saints. Why?

Under reported, or at least spot-lighted, when announced, Ryan Ramczyk's contract calls for a lot of significant performance bonuses tied to him playing Left Tackle...

Ramczyk is not only our best tackle, but our best offensive lineman; Armstead has convenient injuries when he doesn't know his opponent, or ones he's struggled...

Smart on Armstead's part really, because if you minimize bad film vs bad matchups, management won't have that leverage in contract negotiations...

Ramczyk literally faced a gauntlet of HOF pass rushers the year before for twelve weeks, not allowing even one sack and maybe a few pressures...

Payton is mercurial, may walk in, changed mind, and alter Ramczyk's contract language, but as of now, based on the facts, this is Armstead's last Saints season...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Another positive takeaway from this game was Zach Baun; he was struggling early on, but managed to regroup his focus in game and come back and play tough...

In recent past, we've usually had LBers that had to sit for the remainder of the game, perhaps another week or so, before they regained that focus, confidence...

Baun was right back in there, swarming, slugging it out, keeping it close in the hopes that Jameis would eventually figure out how to read a blitz and make the hot read...

Know I disagreed with Brother Chris during the game commentary, but thought Adebo played very well...

While he gave up short gains, that Michael Thomas 8-yard power-step-in route is hard to defend, he stopped all the big plays and made some crucial open-field tackles...

Should also mention that Adebo could've used some help from the DEs to knock down those quick low-trajectory passes as defenses adjusted vs Drew Brees...

Remember the Panthers have our playbook in Brady and he knows how to pick at even a good CB...

But as a rookie CB2, he had a very solid 2nd game and will learn to jump those routes and give those QBs pause, maybe enough for a sack or even a sack/fumble...

I think you’re right in your assessment. For what he was asked to do he did very well. In the moment I was a little put off by the catches he was allowing but the damage was pretty minimal.

Thought the time to use Taysom Hill to spark the offense would've been much earlier in the game; Payton really seems to have lost that timing with using him...

Winston's own words -
I have to take responsibility for communicating with the offensive line...Got to get us in better protections. Just communicate better out there.”

Agree that FatherTime had caught up to Brees; heck, was first here three years ago to point out Brees' declining arm strength, air yards per attempt...

But for those who complain that Brees was holding us back, you should also balance your criticism against what Brees brought to the table in pre-snap adjustments...

Even Moose Johnson acknowledged during the broadcast that no one was better at making adjustments before the snap but with his short, intermediate throws...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

For those that said we didn't run enough, if you have the time, accessibility, go back and watch the game, pause before each offensive snap...

And count the Panthers defenders in the box; rarely did they have less than eight in the box; so they knew they weren't going to let Kamara beat them...

The Panthers bet Winston couldn't beat them and they were right; he failed to call adjustments to his offensive line for protection - game difference...
