Game Plan tweaks
Howdy y'all,
I was just thinking about game planning moving forward. Let me 1st state I am in no way campaigning or lobbying for a change at QB and certainly not after one bad game. However it occurred to me that maybe Coach P could include Taysom more frequently while making sure not to over do it on trick or gadget plays. Taysom does have some unique skills which, in a game like today's I was thinking maybe SP could mix things up a bit more once it became obvious that not much was clicking or working on the offensive side of the ball. Not suggesting a platoon thing @ QB either as I don't believe that approach works in the end; just give the opposing D something else to think about. Curious what y'all might think about this. |

Another play or two with Taysom may have helped yesterday I will agree. At least 75% of the problem yesterday though was the OL - not just the bad blocking but the overall execution. I think those back to back false starts that cost us a drive was the worst.

They saw they we weren’t getting open against GB and figured it was a glaring hole and exploited it. Now add that with the sh*tty o-line play. You got a recipe for disaster. One of the best running backs in the league had 5 yards on 8 carries. That’s bad o-line play no hiding it |

The false starts were not only a drive killer but it set the stage for the rest of the poor performance by the O-line.

Re: Game Plan tweaks
Reuben, I think Payton heard you. He certainly got Taysom more involved last week and it paid off.
