I heard that this weekend tied a record for most PATs missed. Something like 12 kicks were missed. Maybe all the balls were under inflated...

I think that growth will continue. It will help getting Thomas and Smith back. Onyemata and Davenport should be back, too. McCoy and Armstead. Harris and Taysom. Get this break and things are looking good. |

There were five FGs missed in the Packers/Cincy game. Kickers have all been bad for some reason. |
Re: Observations from the Saints' Win against the Redskins
I think with the injuries at virtually every position, offense and defense and a QB not named Brees…….if you said we would be 3-2…..I would take it and run.

Yup. It’s been brutal. Good time for the bye. Could be far worse. |
Re: Observations from the Saints' Win against the Redskins
-Legit win on the road.
-Kamara should be in the MVP conversation. -Adebo should be in the DROY conversation. -Backups continue to shine. -Great time for a bye. |
Re: Observations from the Saints' Win against the Redskins
We have a better record than the Chiefs. Let that sink in.

Re: Observations from the Saints' Win against the Redskins
The second straight week I've seen impressive stats from another rookie on defense ...Pete Werner.
13 total tackles. 8 solo. Hasn't been bad in coverage either. Nothing flashy, but all he does is roll up his sleeves and go to work on Sundays. Keep grinding. |

I liked coach putting a fire under Winston. Maybe it’ll improve his focus. But I’m not going to hold my breath.

Offense: All Pro Michael Thomas-out Draft pick Trequan Smith-out All pro- Terron Armstead-out Pro Bowl Eric McCoy-out Defense: Pro Bowl David Onyamata-out First round pick Marcus Davenport-out LB Kwon Alexander-out First round pick Caesar Ruiz-sucks If I saw that list before the season I would have been thrilled with one win. That’s just off the top of my head. |
Re: Observations from the Saints' Win against the Redskins
Oh and did I mention Lattimore is an absolute freaking monster? Imagine if he had both hands. I honestly can’t remember a game where a corner played that well.

Re: Observations from the Saints' Win against the Redskins
Was fortunate to get seats on the Saints side at Fedex.
The one thing the TV cameras probably didn't pick up was the Saints sideline activity. At different times during the game Coach had the Offense together, probably happened three or four times. He was flailing his arms waving his play sheet around. I was thinking if he had a stun gun he might have lit up a couple players. Oh and the other thing the cameras didn't pick up, Coach is getting a little Chubby. |

I tell you there is no way anyone can say we have another linebacker as good as 56 since he put on a Saints uniform. When Kwon is healthy and the two of them are out there, man it is great thing to watch. Werner has looked good in pass coverage, better than I expected. But I watched him yesterday against the run a few times he took the wrong lane or couldn't shed the block fast enough to get the runner. These are maybe things he can fix with experience and coaching. |

As of 10/11/21 here are his red zone numbers : 7/7 40 yards 5 TDS FIVE. Translation - most likely we are scoring 6 ... with a bunch of undrafted guys. No better team red zone team in the league atm. Oh, and those bombs he's been executing ... he leads the league in TD distance as well. Is that not "focused"? |

In honesty, I’m not blind to the issues Winston has had so far. He’s missed some guys. From what I saw of yesterday’s game that Hail Mary was luck his way (although a good pass where he took a hit) and his INT was ugly. He’s got room for improvement. But dang, his TO and TD ratios are vast improvements so far. |
