Hogan really needed to step up and be that #2 or 3 guy and it simply did not happen. Had he not retired I am sure he would have been released either with the return of Smith and definitely once Thomas is back. Best of luck to him, he could have been a real asset if he could have returned to form, father time has a way of doing that to people.
