Better get it together, the Bucs are way better than Seattle in all phases of the game.

True about Tampa but their secondary can be had though

I still say there should be more times Winston runs on first or second down. But no way we can crucify the guy at this point.

Winston's play is not improving. It's the same every week. He makes a couple nice throws but misses on some head-scratchers. He isn't the answer. Our receivers aren't good either but he looked horrible in the 1st half. Our offense has no rhythm or consistency. I'm not saying Taysom is the answer either but you never know. This d we just played is horrible.

This is Jameis 4th start with ZERO turnovers. He’s also our second leading rusher on the team. From the games I’ve watched (all of them), he’s not working with much at WR/TE position either. Make shift O line to start the season, yet was still able to pull of 4 wins thus far. No Taysom or Deonte’ tonight either.

“Not improving “ is a stretch.

Honest question here. When is the "no WR/TE" excuse going to end? Does it go away after MT returns? I'm serious. At what point is Winston going to have a fair assessment without excuses or exceptions?

I’d say it ends when his receivers and TEs stop dropping passes,
running wrong routes, and fumbling the ball. Also there was miserable weather last night in Seattle. When you see the skill position players that teams like Az, TB, LA have it is extremely valid to point out how sub-par what Winston has to work with is. It ain’t an excuse if it’s true.

Not having a consistent play at the WR position isn't an excuse. This WR group is below average. White, Stills, Trequan had chances to help but failed last night. Don't have the stats but I counted 7 drops. Maybe more. Our WR core is the worst in the league. They caught 4 passes last night. Rain played a part but still, that's awful. Trautman continues to fumble the ball away.

Go listen to a Nick Underhill or Deuce Windham podcast that will illustrate how little separation these guys are getting.

More importantly for me, Jameis isn't costing us games with dumb, costly picks. I just can't get on board with the OP saying Jameis isn't "improving".

The fact that we faced the league's worst secondary in Seattle & our WR group caught only 4 passes should tell us all we need to know how collectively bad they are.

I agree that it seems to be mainly WRs not getting open enough. OTOH, Jameis isn't reading/processing as fast as Brees. Hence Brees making an average WR look better than they should look. Nonetheless it falls on coaches to coach that up, even WR Coach Curtis Johnson. These are paid professionals, presumably. It's good to see Jameis get in TQ's grill last night. We have to be very pleased so far with the dramatic improvement over everybody's argument that 30 INTs were fixing to come our way. Just how many teams would love to have this kind of QB play right about now? Hello, JETS?

Re: Saints @ Seahawks Game Day Thread

Shawn Hochuli and his entire officiating crew suck.

Not sure how they didn't see those petty shoves by Metcalf and #81. They attempted to bait in Latt & Ceedy into foolishness & cheap flags.

And that "roughing the passer" on Davenport was complete BS.

Leave these guys at home when post-season comes around. They could impact the outcome of a close game.
