Observations from the Saints Gutty Win Vs Bucs

Great team win after Jameis went down. Our defense is something else, especially with our new returnees. QB Trevor Simian pulled through for us like a true vet.

Congrats to our Saints on Halloween!

Let's enjoy this special win. :bng:

This team is 5-2? That's nothing short of a miracle.

Tip of the hat to the whole organization. Big and unexpected win today.

Sean obviously doesn’t trust Winston. Completely different offense than we have seen all year once Trevor came in. I feel for Winston. He’s worked so hard to get to where he is and to have this happen against his old team is terrible. I hope it’s not as bad as it looks and he gets back soon. Hopefully Payton will let him off the chain. Until then Trevor it is.

DA and Company have some things to work on, but it's a lot better than those 7-9 years...

Those exchanges on crossing routes need some work...

1. This team has heart and grit. It’s a far cry from those finesse teams we fielded over the years.

2. P.J. Williams plays safety a hell of a lot better than he plays corner.

3. Mark Ingram brings so much energy and enthusiasm to this team.

4. I still wanna see us try to grab a WR. Brandin Cooks. Desean Jackson. Allen Robinson. Brandon Aiyuk. We just need another piece.

5. I really hope Winston doesn’t have to miss any time.

Word is that it’s a significant injury to his leg.

We were seeing signs of the trust progressing with the dink and dunk stuff. Trevor showed us our WRs corps is good enough to win games. Jameis' runs opened things up a bit too.

Hate to hear it. He was playing really well this year. Cleaned up his turnovers. Did everything Payton asked of him. Great in the locker room. It’s a ****ty situation.

Are we calling #9?

Crud if true.

But we have decent backups in Taysom, Trevor and let us not forget Ian.

- The Saints are well into Brady's head.

- The world is discovering the Saints' defense is real.

- We have squirrely fans that cannot believe when belief is needed.

- Ingram will have even more impact moving forward.

- Taysom better shake his cobwebs or he will lose his job as QB. Not a bad thing for us so he can play that jack role.

- Repeat belief.

- Who Dat!

Actually not a bad idea, Rez.

Payton said he cried when Jameis came in on crutches. Man I hope there’s some good news for him.

Ugh...I don't agree with Taysom being the starter if healthy.

Trevor showed decent poise and good decision making, I'd rather he start over Hill.

Sounding more and more like it’s over for Jameis. Heartbreaking. Trevor Siemian should be the guy now and I’m pulling hard for him to take the reins and lead the way. He’s a smart veteran so he just has to be the game manager we need.

I’m very curious how this effects any potential moves we make at the trade deadline this week. We need weapons now more than ever to make it easy on Trevor.

Trevor will be “the” guy.

I would expect Hill to stay in the Joker role once he has cleared concussion protocol. Atlanta will be a great game to build on and gain more confidence.

Payton said in those Luke Johnson tweets, that if Taysom is healthy he will be the starter. I don't agree with it, we've already seen the Taysom project and it was ugly. I'd roll with Trevor instead.

I want that to be the case, but according to Payton, if Taysom is healthy, he'll be the starter at QB

Whoever CSP goes with - Siemian, Hill or Book - I trust his decision. We still have a good QB room. I really don't think we should bring in a free agent or trade for a QB.

I’d rather see Ian Book than Taysom under center.

Better believe Trevor is taking 1st team reps this week.

To be continued …
