I am a rugby referees coach and we don't just evaluate refs but work on fixing the issues. I guess the league doesn't want go to with full time referees who are coached. Not just evaluated but coached which is how they need to do it in the future.

I know what they really say behind closed doors. "Rig the game and make damn sure big market teams win. Oh, and...screw the Saints. I can't believe we allowed the refs to beat Peyton Manning to win a super bowl. By God, the Saints will never win again as long as we're in control of the refs."
