It doesn't matter if everyone else has a worse record. There are only six teams in the NFC with a winning record right now. Only one at .500 currently, as well. Seven teams reach the tourney. Someone will make it at 9-8. Hell, 8-9 might get a team there.

I didn't forget. And it's still a chip shot.

35 yards and under is routine for kickers at this level. Rookie or not.

You are 100 % correct. Johnson also missed a PAT last week.

Inexcusable.

I know… but making the playoffs and making a playoff run are different things. I’m advocating for just finding beauty in the journey and what we can learn in the process because it isn’t Super Bowl or bust anymore.

"Beauty in the Journey" I like that Chris.

Once I got over the ridiculous roughing the QB call and calmed down I looked at Coach Payton.
Here's a guy who is dealing with all the players he's got and all the players he don't got. I know he get's paid the big bucks but the guy is working it every minute.
Besides getting dealt terrible hands each week he has kept the team competitive. Simple extra points, dropped balls and stupid penalties you name it we got it all.
And still that roughing the passer call was the most disgusting, flagrant, game changing call actually pretty close to that beauty against the Rams.

But I'm trying real hard to live up to and see the "Beauty in the Journey"

I actually like Siemian better than Winston so far. I think he's played well.

But damn...those penalties, missed XPs and stupid ass dropped passes are killers. Brutal.

We are an elite receiver away from being able to hang with anyone. We need to find one…oh wait, we already have one, on paper anyway.
Seriously though, if we had Thomas we could get it done. It was a mistake putting all our eggs in one basket without even attempting to find a number 2 in the offseason. Yes, salary cap, I know, but it could have been done.
Having a kicker would help too. This offseason will be interesting.
Houston should be ashamed of themselves for almost losing to an offense cobbled together with a bunch of practice squad players.

-The season is still in front of the Saints.
-Even with all of the starters being out, the Saints are still competing.
-Lutz is arguably the biggest loss.
-Penalties, drops, Turnovers, and mistakes have to be cleaned up.
-For a great coach with enough talent on offense, the failed 2 point streak is astounding.
-I still believe in this team.

Ram is the next LT - he was paid as one.

Armstead is gone I think. Bless his heart he just can't stay on the field for an extended period.

Yes. Inexcusable. I agree. Especially THREE misses in two games. That's why his ass is gone. But, while 35 and under is routine, it is anything but automatic like the old point after. That's why they picked that distance. Just checked and there were 89 missed extra point attempts across the league in 2020. That's even more than I expected.
