Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting
Hey Everyone! Long time no see! I've been thinking about you all lately and wouldn't let the draft go by without me! So, who can I start a fight with? lol Is there a draft thread somewhere in this forum? lol Glad to be back!

Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting
Circle back to the 2021 draft ...
Notable O lineman taken in the 1st round: Tucker, Slater (2nd team All Pro), Sewell & Darrisaw ... for the most part, all were SOLID as 1st-year lineman out of the gate. Not a lot of fanfare but got the job done in the trenches. Hopefully we stay put at 16 & 19. There will be quality players available when we are on the clock. Improve the roster at positions of need. Whose to say a guy like Charles Cross doesn't fall to us at 16? Ramz lasted until pick #32 (sucks for those 31 other teams) & the rest is history. Leave all of the trading up stuff on Day 1 to the usual suspects ... Jets, Lions Texans & Falcons. |
Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting
Nfl.com has the Saints passing up on Penning and Olave in order to select Desmond Ridder and Devin Lloyd. I sure hope not.

Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting
Some telling Saints insights from Charlie Campbell at WalterFootball:
“ Sources shared the Saints like Ohio State wide receivers Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave, although Wilson probably won't fall low enough. The organization likes other first-round wideouts, but it sounds like Arkansas' Treylon Burks is not a fit. New Orleans also is interested in first-round offensive tackles like Mississippi State's Charles Cross, Northern Iowa's Trevor Penning and Tulsa's Tyler Smith. The team also likes some second-round options, including Ohio State's Nick Petit-Frere and Central Michigan's Bernhard Raimann. Defensively, the Saints are high on Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton. On Day 2, they feel Georgia's Lewis Cine and Penn State's Jaquan Brisker will be good pros. First-round linebackers New Orleans would consider include Utah's Devin Lloyd and Georgia's Quay Walker. Thus, the organization is keeping its options open, including trading up or down. By the sound of it, however, the Saints will be addressing a few of their key positions in the first and second rounds of the 2022 NFL Draft.” |
