This is one of my favorite threads each year. It's how I get to know about likely prospects. Even if we don't draft them I am familiar with them when I do see them play. Keep it coming guys!

Should get a good pick with the rate we're playing. #?

We could fill the Purdue void left by Brees if we draft WR Bell. He has been posting 100 yard games in his sleep against good Big 10 competition and looks like the real deal.

I’d double-dip at the WR position in the draft, then sign one in Free Agency.

No more undrafted guys. We need legit TALENT.

Pass catchers, route runners, dawgs.

Lil’Jordan seems to have a lil dawg in him. They should feature him a lil more

Know and understand we need WRs, but the OLine has to take priority - we need Guards, and Armstead is a likely salary cap casualty this year...

To clarify, didn't start this thread with the notion that I've thrown in the towel on this season...

#ItAintOver

In fact, I'm hoping Taysom gets to mending over the next 10 days and he leads the turnaround this season or he gets at least a full honest, shot...

If Taysom's not the answer, it narrows the options at QB; if he's what Sean claims he is, then we can focus on offensive line, wide receiver, defensive tackle...

College football is going on, there's some impressive performances happening, and want to share what I've seen and see what y'all have as well...

Just finished watching the NC vs NC State thriller. Tar Heels QB Sam Howell has some upside to him - reminds me a little of Taysom with the tough running, though probably not as fast. He's kind of a blend of Ryan Fitzpatrick with Taysom's tough running.

Thought he looked like Baker Mayfield's younger brother, slightly taller, but he's got some spunk; no way he could truck like Taysom though...

My kinda guy; Ramczyk to LT, Penning to RT, Young as the swing OT - done, now do the guards...

Love the right hand business at the end - that's right...

Lol me too JP but this is the "new" NFL.

It's not 10 days. As of today the next game is five days. We play on Thursday night again.

Can’t wait for this Ohio St-Michigan game… Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson, LT Nicolas Petit-Frere vs DE Aidan Hutchinson. Great showcase of first round prospects.

He wasn't the best QB in the game. Devon Leary just broke Philip Rivers' single season TD record. He's the best QB we've (NC State) have had since Russell Wilson.

Day 1 starters at the next level.

Yes, please.

I'm watching WF/Boston College. My Wolfpack needs a BC win to make it to the ACC championship game. I really don't follow any individual players other than a few on NC State. Leary, the Thomas brothers, Emeka Emezie. I wouldn't mind watching Michigan just for Harbaugh.

Keep an eye on Boise State WR Khalil Shakir. I saw him play yesterday against San Diego State and the kid is solid.

The Wolverines OL absolutely mauled today and Haskins' running looked very smooth. Maybe a dark horse or two among those.

Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting

The Sooners RB Brooks at times reminds me of Pierre Thomas, except a bit taller. Smooth, reliable runner.

Treylon Burks - WR Arkansas

Big hands (10 1/2), size, and speed. Some scouts tend to believe he's a better pro-ready receiver than Olave.

NFL comparison - Andre Johnson

Yes, please.

One of my favorites in this draft as well, Major; considering what he's done and it being non-prolific passing attack at Arkansas, he should definitely have his name circled...

Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting

I know it's super, super early but NFLDraftBuzz.com did their initial "mock" draft and have the Saints selecting John Metchie III - WR Alabama.

From the highlights I've seen thus far ... his pass-catching technique needs a lot of work. At the moment, he's projected as a Day 2 guy.

I wouldn’t say more pro-ready than Olave. Burks is essentially a taller AJ Brown… a slot receiver motioned around a lot. He doesn’t have a real diverse route tree lined up out wide.

But Burks is like Brown and DK Metcalf coming from Ole Miss in 2019, they actually have higher ceilings because their programs weren't as complex, deep...

And yet they still competed against the best of the best in the SEC, so they've faced high, future NFL competition that you can get a better gauge...

Yeah that’s a pretty good point. Burks has been tasked with doing everything, even used in a H-Back role, at the highest level and he’s still been incredibly productive. I wasn’t knocking Burks; just think he’ll take a little more development at the pro level.

Fun fact: Treylon Burks is a bonafide good ol’ boy who actually hunts wild hogs with just a knife.

Downing Falcons with a slingshot should be a cinch then!

EDIT: Now that I think about it, if the Lions stay the course and land the #1 pick, Ann Arbor is only 45 minutes away from Detroit so taking Hutchinson would be awesome for the fans.

Gotta' go O-line, WR, and DT desperately. That's the order I would pick them in as well.

The Saints have no shot at drafting Hutchinson ...

Besides, they'll select a kid no one is even talking about or a program we've never heard of with a medical history.
