2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; This year's QB draft class kinda reminds me of that 2006 version. Vince Young , Matt Leinhart , Cutler, Clemmons, etc. Not a lot of "pop" or "sizzle"....

That's what I keep hearing and reading. Why would we want to delve into it in the first round when Winston is arguably a better option than anyone coming out this year and we still have a freshly drafted QB project in the wings already. Simply doesn't make any sense. I'm pretty sold on your WR move.

Because your own word: "arguably". You're welcome.

Jameis has a history of throwing picks. The offense was pedestrian even when he was starting. He's not exactly mobile. Just off the top of my head - see I don't rely on twitter and op-eds to shape my views.

The smart move is to explore all options.

https://www.espn.com/college-footbal...-genmark-heath

Backup and special teamer for the Fighting Irish, one year as a starter for the Bruins.

Very smart kid that started out as a S at ND and became an in the box LB for UCLA. Sat out 2020 to focus on getting his degree during Covid.

I coached him back in 2013, his last season in Sweden, everything you can ask for as a coach. Smart, hard working, eager to learn.
If he gets drafted I would guess it'll be in the 6-7th round. Would love for us to take a flier on him as a ST and LB backup.

W.T. Sherman is my favorite General. After all he did order Atlanta to be burned to the ground.

We have a defensive-minded head coach and two defensive coordinators… It’s probably time to stop thinking about getting a WR in the first round. It’ll probably be a DT.

Guess we're all split, I say get the offensive line fixed early in the draft and sign a FA WRz and bring along another WR from the draft who would help, but you don't have to depend...

I have to agree with K on going impact WR early and seeing what healthy offensive linemen with better coaching can accomplish.

But but, 17-0! Who cares who's the WR, and who cares that the line sucked? Right speedo?
