SEEMS LIKE A "MANAGEMENT" ISSUE

EVERYTHING about this Team is wrong right now, maybe except for Demario Davis. Beloved Drew left, and yes, it was time for Drew to leave... And then? ZERO depth - No B Plan or even a C Plan. Didn't we "Plan" for this? Why not? and What next? Next Game, Dallas. Next Season, what? Cannot blame any one Player or even Coach at this point. This puts the Die Hard Fan in a yucky place.

Fire Mickey Loomis. He is an accountant adept at cap tricks that only push back cap hell so we never get out of it. He may not be making all the football decisions, but we need a real GM who can give Payton something other than daddys credit card to blow our cap. We need a GM who understands football and can think long term. Payton is a great coach on the field but not a GM with long term wisdom for building a team, and Loomis is an accountant whose skills might be better suited to laundering money for the cartel.

Salient points.

Guys.... Before you judge someone else's qualifications to judge talent, first be sure you your self are qualified to judge.

Good point. I HAVE been drinking a bit heavily during the last few games, so my ability to judge talent, or to judge the qualifications of those who are qualified to judge talent, may have been impaired. But it's been sobering, to say the least.

They have paid a lot of money to people who deserved and earned it. They have made a couple mistakes like Peat and Hill. They have had horrible luck with Kamara, Ram, Lutz and Winston. Davenport was a miss. Turner was a miss. Thomas was a monumental failure. Life after Brees was guaranteed to be rocky.

I'm sorry but this was a Super Bowl quality team who just won the division 4 in a years row, The team that's lost #1 WR, #1 #2 RB, #1 and #2 QB and how many other important injuries? Everyone knows (or should know) that we went all in the last three years to try and win another with Drew. Did you think that kind of spending could last? So we took some losses Sanders, the big defensive lineman I forget his name at the moment, and Jack rabbit.
Fact is whether or not Mickey is a "football guy", which I give him a little more credit than you obviously do. Mickey has been playing the CAP like a virtuoso for years making moves when there didn't look like there was any money to be found. So what if we're having a bad year? You don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.

We were one of the most successful teams in the NFL for over a decade. Not many teams in the NFL ever get to experience that. It had to come at a cost and now it’s time to pay up, and I’m ok with that. Coach is doing the best he can with what he has and I don’t think any other coach/front office in the league could do better. As long as we have the same coach and management we will be on top again, even if it takes a few years. The only glaring mistake they made was not finding a legit number 2 receiver. Smith was supposed to be that guy. Nobody could foresee Thomas growing a vagina.

Injuries. Simple.

We have three starters on offense right now and they’re O-Linemen. It’s ok to just say the odds are stacked against us and this isn’t our year.

If you want to assign any blame I think Michael Thomas torpedoed our season. No, one player is not the whole team but in the post-Brees era MT and Kamara needed to be the faces of the franchise. I’ll be glad to have him back next year but I’ll never root for him again.
