Re: GAMEDAY THREAD: SAINTS VS. COWBOYS WEEK 13
The trend with those 6 starts is that he will have way more turnovers than Winston. I can’t believe that you think that Taysom has a higher ceiling than Winston when he is several years older and doesn’t have nearly the arm talent. He is a great athlete but playing him without the lead spotlights his weakness and we saw that tonight.

Taysom needs to have Lasik on his finger.
Taysom Hill is 31, Cam Newton is 32, Jameis Winston is 27. A fair argument could be made that Cam Newton has a higher ceiling than Taysom Hill, being only 1 year older, dealing with a similar number of recent injuries and interceptions, playing with a similar poor cast of weapons in recent years, but showing more ability in the past to stay healthy and perform at a high level. |

Re: GAMEDAY THREAD: SAINTS VS. COWBOYS WEEK 13
Like I said when Trevor was playing, I don't feel like the loss is Taysom's fault. Yes he threw 4 ints. He had no protection at all and is more of a gunslinger mentality than Trevor so the 4 ints happened. I don't think it has anything to do with how good or bad he is. People saying we need to acquire a new QB really have no idea how our current QBs are. I've seen great things at times out of both Taysom and Trevor. When you have no receivers to catch the ball, no line to protect you, and no consistent running game... it's hard to expect the stat line of the QB to be good.
I think there is a lot of cause of optimism though. I think we have a high quality defense, which imo is one of the hardest things in the NFL to put together. We just kind of expect too much out of them and eventually they break. I think both Trevor and Taysom have the ability to be the QB of the future. When it comes to the draft, we need to draft WRs>O-line>TE. We have huge holes to fix, but they aren't holes that are necessarily hard to fix. Michael Thomas will probably be back next year and if we can put another WR on the field with him that is close in talent we will look good there. Then it comes to fixing the line and getting a TE that is worth a damn. We do these things and I think we can compete for a Super Bowl with either Trevor or Taysom(I prefer Trever but I think Taysom has it too). If you think we are going to just pick up someone like Russell Wilson or Jimmy G(LOL) with the current situation and somehow just start churning out victories, you don't understand football. |

Taysom is EXCITING but he's not a starting NFL-caliber QB. I'm super curious to see how the front office approaches this off-season. |

Every post you make seems like a race thing. You hardly ever post unless it involves hill and how bad he is or JW and how he isn’t given a chance. I was the first one on here to eat crow when JW outplayed hill in the preseason. I’ve had enough of you secretly race bating this site. You even have a quote of one of the most racist men to ever walk the face of the earth. If you want to discuss football without color in the mix I’d be glad to. JW is the better option but he’s out. Last night hill had 3 back up o line in and no AK. He and all the wr were not on the same page. Why? Probably because they haven’t been practicing. Hill hurt his throwing hand halfway through the first half and still ran for 100 yards, passed for two tds and 264 yards. One horrible pick 6 and some poor mistakes from him and the wr last night. Drew couldn’t have won thst game in his prime with that no talent bunch.
