That includes every coach from head coach down through quality control assistants. I have heard this explained time and time again by former and active players, coaches, and GM's.
Here's a good article from 2014 that echoes this philosophy. Why NFL Teams Don't Tank for a Better Draft Position There are many others out there, as well. Here's one by the former player, Geoff Schwartz. Ask a former NFL player: Is tanking for a draft pick a myth or reality? |

Looking back on our 3-13 seasons of the 90's, I don't think it ever felt like we were really tanking. We were just as dysfunctional at the upper levels back then as the Jets are now.
Wilson appears to be in over his head and you should be starting Flacco or White if you wanted to win. Then again, the Golden State Warriors lost a lot of games with Steph Curry, Klay and Draymon before they found their groove and could be perceived to have been tanking in their first 2 years. It's always a blurry topic. |

Re: Observations for the Saints' Road Win vs Jets
It's not over yet. And I never get embarrassed by my Saints. There's nothing shameful about being decimated by injuries. Had we gone through the season unscathed we'd easily have the best record in the NFL right now.
