Pete Werner Crow Time

I always acknowledge when I’m wrong and I was wrong about Pete Werner. I wasn’t that high on the pick but he has had me eating crow since then. Kid has the goods to be a damn good LB for us for years to come. He’s even become a favorite of mine. So I’m eating that crow with a smile on face.

It seems very few players come into the league and make an immediate impact, especially coming into a complex defense like Dennis Allen's.

Yea and him handling all of Demario’s duties and do them well and not having those guys out of place or the wrong play or adjustments as a rookie, sold me 100%

Unlike Baun who had to deal with a position change last year Werner came in playing hard and looking good from the get go.

Not bad… not bad at all. Good dropping into zone coverages and not fooled by play action. Needs a little work shedding blocks but that might just be the result of his lean frame not generating a lot of force.

Nice.

Pete is looking like a solid draft selection and quality starter for years to come. And only 22 years of age.

They should let Baun do what he does best and rush the passer

Baffling to say the least.

Baun set some kind of College or School record for sacks, SP turns him into a 4-3 LB -_-

Save me a wing…I also wasn’t high on the pick but he has proven me wrong this year. Hopefully he continues to trend upward next season. We haven’t drafted well at the position lately so this is refreshing.
