Looks like it's official now. Alonzo would be a perfect player to rotate on and off the roster as needed throughout the season. He already knows the scheme. He should clear waivers along the way.

Re: 2022 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
Tough one.
Both are injury prone & Kiki hasn’t played football in 2 seasons ![]() I’d probably take KA, simply because he’s better than Kwon in run support. I now see a report where the Saints were interested in Kwon but in a reduced role. Easy to see now why he signed with the Jets. Anyways, I hope KA is healthy & can shake off the rust ![]() |

I can't blame Kiko for wanting to retire a Saint.

Re: 2022 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
Saints STILL NEED DEPTH AT LB.
Anthony Hitchens would have been my choice over Kiko. Just didn’t get bringing in/signing a guy who hadn’t played NFL ball in almost 3 seasons, a history of injuries & two torn ACL’s as vet “depth”. |

Maybe they like the new kid but want some veteran role player in the interim. There are plenty of roster cuts coming, some of which may fit the bill. And Kwon didn't want a reduced role
