His sideline moxie was something. I work with a former Tampa Bay Buc who hates Sean Payton with every fiber of his being because that's how great Sean was at trash talking.

I know our line looks underwhelming but I just wanted to give James Hurst some props. He's been such a an underrated player for us these past two years.

Big contract year for Davenport and it would be nice to get a healthy year out of Payton Turner to see what he's capable of doing.

Malcolm Jenkins has retired per Nick U.

Probably deserves it’s own post.

Solid career sir, congrats and enjoy your retirement.

Curious the impact Marrone will have, but we need to really inject some talent into the offensive line, especially with the money committed to Kamara...

Re: 2022 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook

Things are shaping up a bit, but still have significant holes to fill via draft, trade or FA. Providing that the players that are projected to be back so come back (Thomas and the O line players), My personal order of importance currently is:

RB
Safety
Oline
TE
WR

Now before people freak out, here is my rational; I’m expecting Kamara to miss at least the first 6 games of the year. For so long, going back to PT Cruiser and Bush to Ingram/Sproles/Ivory etc the backfield has been a strength. Not that we’ve had a bell cow back, but it has always been dangerous. Right now it’s Ingram and Jones Jr. That’s not
enough. Even with Kamara, the group needs some infusion.

Losing what we have in Safety makes the position need evident. Talent there greatly improves the D.

As for the rest…we need help in all phases. But again, I’m working on the hope Thomas and the O line players come back. CGM, Callaway, Smith, Harty and maybe…Julio Jones or OBJ isn’t terrible. Ram, Ruiz, Peat, Hurst, Mccoy isn’t the worst Oline in the league.

Both groups need help, but my point is simply coming back healthy for those 2 position groups will be huge for the team (if it happens). That’s not the case with RB or safety. Just my 2 cents.

P.s. DLine help would be nice to Santa!!

Totally agree about RB, in fact, Kamara is not a bell cow back anyways; needs a complement...

Offensive Line should be the utmost priority in the draft; Day 1 and Day 2 kinda priority...

Now that Taysom is moving to TE, and with another year for Trautman, I'm fine with where we are though I'd cut Vannett...

We've got to get WRs on at least Day 2 and another on Day 3 of the draft; Thomas returning will be huge, but a FA signing and two more in the draft is imperative...
