The other slight problem is configuring a proper wired and wireless home network with MU MIMO. Most will have a regular router which bottlenecks and also wears out within 3-4 years. Glad to hear this Smash. We stream EVERYTHING in my house so I switched over to a Mesh system about 5 years ago. I actually had the Ubiquiti system but gave it to my brother. We now have the Netgear Orbi WIFI 6E system and Nighthawk dual router ... it's not cheap but NO MORE DEAD ZONES in the house! Constant buffering was killing me, especially on Saint's game day.

As for Fiber Optic, SPECTRUM keeps telling us that it will be available in our area soon. That is about a 10-year-old lie now

Your bottleneck is your firewall/router, even on a mesh. Their processors simply can't hang with the traffic. It is more work to run cat6, but worth it in the end. It was an easy upgrade to WIFI6. Dream machine Pro or SE is the shiznit. MU MIMO is key also... It stands for multiple user, multiple in multiple out. In plain English, it means it can handle all wireless hardware and then some with all the extra lanes of traffic, unlike a mesh or worse yet, a standard Wifi router. The WiFi routers that have MU MIMO cost an arm and a leg. Hence the no brainer to Ubiquiti gear. Side benefit with Dream machine is you can fast track your home to a smart home.
