Luke Johnson | Sean Payton steps down as Saints head coach, leaving a monumental legacy behind him

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I really wish he wouldn't have left. I hate that he'll be coaching somewhere else in a year or 2....

Has any HC except for BB won a SB in his second decade with a team? I've been searching online but have not been able to find this.

Bill Cowher won his in his 14th year (2005 season) with the Steelers. Chuck Noll won his 3rd and 4th SB's in his 10th and 11th years as head coach (1978 & 1979).

Landry won his in his 12th and 18th seasons as head coach with Dallas. '71 & '77

Good stuff! I couldn't find that. Seems like its quite rare then. Change might be good.

Don Shula with Dan Marino lost to the 49ers in the 1982 season...
