Funny. But from the little I’ve read, “second interviews” normally are full day affairs. Of course I don’t know what I’m talking about.

Lovie Smith is a great hire. I didn’t understand why he had to go coach in college instead of getting another head coaching job after he was let go in Chicago. I actually didn’t know he was even back in the league. I expect the Texans to have a good defense now.

He was the Texans associate HC and DC this past season. It probably flew under the radar because the Texans were so dismal overall. They gave up the second most yards in the league last season.

He was the HC in Tampa for two seasons after being let go by the Bears.

For Lovie Smith, I hope that this works out well for him. The Texans are the worst run franchise in the NFL. Maybe he'll be a calming presence for that
