Exactly, Rugs. A franchise with a winning culture would never tank because it would destroy that culture. Totally agree. As a Lakers fan we had a few tanking years in the 2010's, and even after a championship, a bit of that spectre still looms.

I just watched the "Battered Bastards of Baseball" documentary this morning. If you need proof that playing hard and having your heart in the game matters, for both the players and the fans, that's your proof.

Yup. The NBA is the only major team sport where tanking has been obvious with the players even involved. Thus the whole reason for the NBA draft lottery. Administrative tanking does happen in major league baseball with player selloffs, but even then the players and coaches do everything within their abilities to win. Their individual careers are impacted.

Lots of teams tank. It happens every year. It's not a fan concept, it's a strategy, and "tanking", as fanboys like you call it, has been the foundation for many a championship run.
