Why did Saints decline the chance to get compensation for Sean Payton from the Dolphins?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Was the compensation not enough? Just saying, it's Loomis' job to listen to offers. Even if it's someone they don't want to lose, you have to listen to an offer....

Was the compensation not enough?

Just saying, it's Loomis' job to listen to offers. Even if it's someone they don't want to lose, you have to listen to an offer.

If Payton doesn't want to coach the compensation is meaningless.
