College programs with the most NFL draft picks, ranked

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Sidebar ... University of Texas has fallen off a cliff. That program has been outclassed by Baylor, TAM & TCU over the last decade. It could get ugly for the Longhorns once they enter the SEC conference....

I could see a comparison to them and Texas A&M however. When the Laggies joined the SEC it took them a few seasons to adjust. Looks like they finally may have. Longhorns may end up the same way.

But the difference here is that TAM was competitive in their conference before moving to the SEC.

UT has been irrelevant in the big XII for a long, long time.

What was more surprising is that they didn’t have a single kid drafted in the 2022 NFL draft. Not one.

Hell, I wasn’t even aware Tom Herman was no longer the head coach .

Fair point. But in their last ten years in the Big12 (right before they moved to the SEC) Aggies were only 4 games above .500 in conference and had not won a conference championship. Texas was better than that during the same time span.
