Clickbait nonsense. OTAs are voluntary. There's nothing to read into not showing up. Much of the time is used for basic installations. Why should a Pro Bowl/All Pro level veteran waste their time with that. Let the rookies, UDFA, and young guns on the squad get those extra reps so they can improve to the point where they can contribute.

Yeah. Allen already said that whomever didn't attend OTA's had legitimate reasons ... not that any was required. They discussed this topic this morning on NFL Radio and said that they'd just as soon the vets didn't show up if there was continuity in scheme because it just added to the chances of injury. They even said mandatory mini-camp isn't that critical for those same players. Just show up at training camp ready to go.

It's the offeseason and media needs eyes and clicks. A story about everyone showing up all the time is a nothingburger. So, why not instead, stir the pot with "what if something is going on" to get folks to tune in. Just as a reminder from Allen Iverson:

Boston, you made me think of my last visit to Saints camp. Kenny Vaccaro was a rookie & practice had just ended. He was told to go carry at least 5 helmets from the vets & I heard someone say ... "better not drop em!".

He was even nice enough to come back and take a few photos & boy was it HOT and HUMID out there!

Fun times :p
