I'd be willing to bet Mr. Thomas is every bit as tough as you, Boston. :D

But JP is absolutely right. All we know is that there was reportedly a complication in the original recovery that required a secondary surgery sometime around this past November. That's sounds quite a bit like some sort of infection or a slight tear during recovery. This type of stuff happens. A new timetable would be in effect.

I just had my right ankle replaced and started walking on it yesterday. Oh, the marvel of modern science....

Not every case is the same - and if I didn't make it clear before, the GM in me is really frustrated we've got that much cap space committed to a player that's on the bench...

Specifics of the injuries aside, if you don’t see a difference in the way the two players and their camps have handled things then we aren’t gonna see things eye to eye. Winston has been open, communicative, enthusiastic and successful thus far in his rehab. Thomas has been the exact opposite of that. I wouldn’t be surprised if part of the reason Payton retired is he didn’t want to deal with the grief of his star diva WRs rehab and the hassle of his star RBs assault allegations.

All that said I hope Thomas played like he did in his record setting season and proves me wrong. Nothing would make me happier.

Praying for your recovery, Rugs...

Curious did you one of those six million dollar man ankles? That would be bad-arse...

Maybe Thomas could use a bionic ankle? could you imagine what his cuts would be like then?

Yep. I got a bionic ankle. I'm ready to come out of rugby retirement at 63. I'll pull a Favre and Brady comeback. Although, I'll probably run in circles with only one bionic ankle.

Edit: Thanks for the prayers.

MT did play through the injury when maybe he shouldn't have. With the eff up from the doctors, one never knows. They don't have enough Dr. Andrews.
